Old Town Optimist Club

The Old Town Optimist Club of Albuquerque was chartered as a member of Optimist International on March 1, 1969. People from all walks of life joined to reach a common goal - to create a more optimistic future for kids. Our positive approach, our upbeat outlook, and our commitment allow us to distinguish ourselves from other organizations. From sponsoring youth athletic leagues to helping the elderly to conducting literacy programs for young people, the Old Town Optimist members are responding to the special needs of Albuquerque.

The Old Town Optimist Club is recognized as a 501C.3 non-profit charitable service organization registered with the New Mexico Corporation Commission. The club operated autonomously. It chooses it’s own activities, elects it’s own officers and raises it’s own funds. The club’s service activities are based on the needs of the youth of Albuquerque. Only imagination and resources of it’s members limit the Old Town Optimist Club.

Along with our partners, the following projects and programs make a difference in lives of youth as well as the community.
